RenewBook ("we," "our," "the app") is a subscription-tracking app. This policy explains what information RenewBook collects, why, and how you can control it.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password (we never see or store your password in plain text). If you sign in with Google, GitHub, or Apple instead, we receive the email address associated with that account from the provider.
Subscription data you enter. The names, categories, prices, currencies, billing cycles, and renewal dates of the subscriptions you choose to track. This is the core data the app is built around — it never leaves your account and is never used for anything other than showing it back to you.
Biometric data. If you enable fingerprint/face unlock, that authentication happens entirely on your device using your operating system's built-in biometric APIs. RenewBook never receives, stores, or transmits your fingerprint or face data — your device handles this itself and only tells our app "unlocked" or "not unlocked."
Notification scheduling. To remind you before a renewal, RenewBook can notify you two ways, both of which you control from Settings. Local device reminders are scheduled entirely on-device and never leave your phone. If you enable email reminders or the summary digest, RenewBook also sends you an email — through a third-party email delivery provider, described below — containing the subscription names, renewal dates, and amounts relevant to that reminder. You can turn either or both of these off at any time.
Purchase information (Pro subscribers only). If you purchase RenewBook Pro, the purchase is processed by Google Play Billing (and Apple's equivalent on iOS). We receive confirmation that you have an active subscription, but we do not receive or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Google/Apple.
We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. We use the following service providers to operate the app, each of whom processes data only as needed to provide their service to us:
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of RenewBook or our users.
Your data is protected with row-level security, meaning your subscription data is only ever accessible to your own account — not to other users, and not by default to us either. Data is encrypted in transit between your device and our servers.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at ajmidjourney@gmail.com. Once we receive your request, we will fully delete your account and all associated subscription data — not just deactivate it.
RenewBook is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise any of these by contacting us at ajmidjourney@gmail.com. Most of this — viewing, editing, or deleting your subscription data — you can also do directly in the app at any time.
RenewBook is available to users in multiple countries and currencies. Your data may be processed in a country other than the one you live in, by our infrastructure providers listed above.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date above and, where required, notify you in the app.
